Mary McLeod Bethune Park is named after one of America’s greatest educational advocates and civil rights leaders. This Florence-Firestone community facility features one of the Department of Parks and Recreation’s first skate parks. The park collaborates with Kids N’ Sports to provide organized youth sports leagues including baseball, softball, soccer, and flag football. The park's dedicated staff is committed to providing unique and creative programs and events for the community to enjoy year-round.

Our swim lessons offer an oportunity to develop different swimming skills. Our levels range from level 1, beginners, having no or little knowledge of swimming skills. Level 2, develop the skills learned in level 1 and be more confortable in the water. Level 3, master previous strokes and introduce breastroke and butterfly kick. level 4, where the students develop the proper techniques to be part of a aswim team.
During Recreational swim, pools are open to the public for free swim. Anyone in swim attire is welcome to come swim and will be monitored by our lifeguards.
Youth novice swim team, coached by Pool Lifeguards introduces the skills and discipline of a competitive swim team all while creating a fun, organized environment. Preparing the participants for novice competitive swim meets.
