Walnut Nature Park was created through a joint venture between the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molina and the Los Angeles Unified School District in 1998. This recreation facility provides the community with organized activities and open recreation for youth and adults with the main purpose of increasing community involvement.
